After high school, I faced a defining choice: I graduated with a 3.9 GPA and a scholarship offer to the University of Kansas. But I chose to fully commit to martial arts and pursue my dreams. With limited resources, I moved back to San Antonio, worked multiple jobs—including catering, Uber driving, and coaching—trained seven days a week, and invested everything I had into my craft. That period shaped the mindset and resilience I carry today, and it laid the foundation for my career as both an athlete and an entrepreneur.

Through this journey, I built Havoc Athletics, where I serve as a strength & conditioning coach — owner. I work with athletes of all ages and levels, helping them unlock their full potential physically and mentally. Coaching allows me to share the lessons I’ve learned from years of training, competing, and living under pressure. I believe that everyone has the capacity to excel with the right guidance, discipline, and mindset.

Now, I’m transitioning into Mixed Martial Arts, with my sights set on the UFC. This next chapter represents not only the continuation of my fighting journey, but an opportunity to grow my brand and connect with sponsors, partners, and fans on a global stage.

Cortez Fight Club represents my journey, my life as a competitor, and my brand. Through my fighting, coaching, and community, I aim to inspire others to embrace challenge, discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence. As a sponsor, partnering with me means aligning with a proven competitor, an emerging MMA prospect, and a platform dedicated to performance, resilience, and growth.

Every title, every fight, and every step of this journey has been earned. The work is real. The platform is growing. And the journey is far from over.

I’m Diego Cortez, and I’m just getting started.
